Hello Engineers of All-Stacks,
The 8th edition of our All-Stack Hangout is all about spending our time and resources wisely. With the help of Mircea Rila, we’ll discover how a few dollars more (the equivalent of that latte or flat white you might ocassionally enjoy) can translate into BIG solutions.
For a few dollars more…
(or how to do big things for the price of an expensive latte)
To his clients’ delight, one of Mircea’s passions is seeing how much he can stretch infrastructure costs, while still being able to effortlessly serve millions of requests.
For this purpose, he took a hypothetical (yet simple) SaaS application and tried to do just that. The technology of choice for this was Azure Functions, CosmosDB, Cloudflare, and Google Firebase Authentication.
The specific goal? To see how much it would cost to serve 100 million requests per month, from 500 million KV records. To up the challenge one notch, he tried to make it respond within less than 100 msec on average.
Curious to discover how it turned out? Join us on March 30th.
